Am I suited to this subject?
You will need to have:
- A general interest in current affairs and social issues.
- Confidence with written language.
- An analytical mind able to organise and interpret information.
- Self-discipline and personal motivation to read and study independently.
Where will it lead in the future?
This is a popular A Level and degree subject. It has many specifically vocational applications including: the Public Services and Administration, the Caring Professions, Medicine, Law and Education. Sociology is an A Level which leaves future options very open.
