b'CHURCH SERVICES AND SCHOOL WORSHIPThe worship of God is central to the life of this Christian community Church ServicesTocommemoratetheopeningoftheschoolon13 July 1855,ourFounders Commemoration Service is held each Summer Term in Bolton Parish Church, adjacent to the site of the original school buildings.There are three other major public acts of worship: theCarolServicesinDecemberatTheVictoriaHall,aServiceofCelebrationand Thanksgiving in our Chapel during the Spring Term and an Alumni Eucharist (open to all present and past students, staff, parents, governors and trustees) in the Summer Term. School WorshipVariousassemblyareasareusedeachmorningduring termforashortactofcollectiveworship.Everyyear group has one assembly in the Chapel each week led by the Head, a member of the senior leadership team or a visiting speaker and a weekly assembly in the Hall led by the Head of Year.The rest of the morning assembly time is spent productively with form tutors who also have the responsibility for leading a brief act of collective worship on each of these days.CommunionServicesareheldatleastonceatermfor each Year group. CHAPLAINCYTheSchoolhasafulltimeChaplainwhoisavailabletoprovidespiritualandpastoral support for the whole school family; staff, students and families.There is also a Chaplaincy Team made up of students, staff and outside volunteers who support the Christian ethos of the school.The Chaplain is happy to see members of the school family in school or at their home by appointment.Requests for prayer can be made by filling in one of the prayer cards which are around school or by contacting the Chaplain directly, either by calling 600897, emailing tli@canon-slade.bolton.sch.uk, or using the prayer link from the school website.'
