We are a partner school in the Ripley Teaching School Alliance School Direct programme. This is an innovative school-based route into teaching as the programme has been designed and delivered by the alliance schools in partnership with the University of Cumbria.

National Association for Able Children in Education
Canon Slade School is a member of NACE, the National Association for Able Children in Education.
We strive to ensure that students who are able, gifted or talented are presented with a wide range of opportunities and challenges to enable them to reach their potential both within and beyond the school environment.
This year we are delighted that Canon Slade School is the lead centre for the Bolton Children’s University.
The Children’s University is a national, charitable organisation that promotes and celebrates the benefits of extra curricular learning. There are over eighty local Children’s Universities in Great Britain of which Bolton is one.
