A group of students were able to catch up with the author Garth Nix at Turton School as part of his book tour. The students were asked why they wanted to meet the author; “Because I love his books” and “To learn about his books” were a couple of the comments.
All the students said they would read one of his books if they hadn’t read one already.

I enjoyed meeting the author. He was really inspiring and funny.

Meeting an author is certainly an event that stays with a child and their talks can spark our writers for the future.
