We are very excited to inform you that the author Caroline Lawrence will be visiting Canon Slade School on Monday 27th February period 4 in the chapel. Caroline’s visit is part of our Book Week activities and it is wonderful that year 7 have been selected to take part in this author event.

A survey carried out by the Society of Authors reported that 99.4% of schools considered author visits to be a high priority and valuable in encouraging reading for pleasure and creative writing with 99.5% believing that every student would benefit. Caroline wrote The Roman Mysteries series, which was made into a BBC children’s TV series. She has written many books and they appeal to both boys and girls.
