The school has a chaplaincy team whose role is to support and develop the Christian ethos of the school. The team is made up of our full-time school chaplain, staff,  6th form pupils and selected external Christian leaders who have a strong commitment to the school. Acting as a student chaplain allows 6th form students to develop their Christian leadership and to use their particular gifts to serve the school.

Much of the work of the chaplaincy is in providing pastoral care to pupils, staff and the wider school family including parents and carers. The chaplaincy office is one designated safe place within school where pupils can drop in before school and at breaks and lunchtimes. The School Chaplain also sees students who are going through a difficult time on an appointment basis, and works with the Heads of Year to try to ensure that each pupil in the school is supported and cared for. He is also available to support the whole family.

The chaplaincy also actively prays for the school, and co-ordinates and resources collective worship.
