Welcome to Canon Slade Association
Canon Slade Association
The CSA is an organisation of parents, staff, governors, ex-pupils and friends who come together to support the school. There is no membership fee, as a parent with a child in school you are automatically a member. Our main function is to:
- Support the school, pupils, staff and parents
- Communicate by acting as a link between parents and school
- Consult by providing a forum to exchange views on matters relating to school
- Raise funds to buy equipment that adds value to school life
- Provide fellowship by arranging events which bring together parents, staff and children in an informal atmosphere.
We hold half termly meetings which all parents and staff are welcome to attend. These meetings last around one hour and do the usual things you would expect from a PTA such as arranging fund-raising or social events and deciding on worthy causes for any funds that we might have available. We also receive Governors’ Reports (a number of Parent Governors are active CSA members) and a report from the Headmaster, who is a regular participant in CSA activities. . Events have included:
- Supermarket Voucher Collections
- Bags2 School Collection
- Recycling Mobile Phones
- Prom Fashion Show
- Barn Dance
- Murder Mystery Evening
- Wine Tasting
The Association also provides refreshments at Parents’ Evenings and Performing Arts Events. Parents volunteer to help with the refreshments via the CSA meetings. This is an easy way to help if you feel unable to contribute in others ways.
For further information about the CSA please contact email@example.com This reaches the Secretary of CSA.
During the 2016/2017 academic year funds raised by CSA have supported various departments to purchase the following:

- RS – various items of Apple technology to upgrade teaching facilities
