This year saw 27 students hit the slopes in Italy over the Easter holidays. Two days before over one metre of snow had fallen which resulted in perfect conditions to ski in. The views and scenery were beautiful and the students worked hard every day to improve on their skiing. After 5 hours on the slopes every day we continued with some après ski. We had more falls in one hour of ice skating than on the slopes. The stunning walk through the village to eat at an Italian patisserie and the snow bikes were a huge success followed by warm tea and cake. The local pizzeria resulted in the biggest pizzas ever and we all slowly walked back to the hotel with full stomachs.
We finished the week with a disco night, our students became the Dj’s and took over the decks. The trip was a huge success and the instructors had nothing but praise for the students we took. They were a credit to themselves, the staff and Canon Slade School. Trip 2020 has already been booked.
