I do hope you are maintaining your social distance and focusing on preparing for your next steps in the new academic year, as you may be aware Ofqual, the government department that oversees examinations has published information regarding the awarding of grades for this academic year.

Please see the attached letter from Ofqual for Students, Parents and Carers outlining what happens now.

Ofqual have given the same information to teachers and guidance on how to arrive at this grade and that the centre assessed grade is confidential and not to be discussed with Students, Parents and Carers under any circumstances and as such all staff will be unable to discuss any aspects of this process with you.

We will of course be following the process as instructed, the grades are then submitted to the examination boards where a further standardisation and checking will take place before the final calculated grade with be awarded, they hope, before August.

I know this is an unprecedented situation you find yourselves in and we are still here to support you once staff return to remote learning from the 14th April 2020.

Best wishes and Stay Safe
